"Science is not just about discovery in a lab; it is about delivering solutions to the soil. My mission is to bridge the gap between high-end biotechnology and the hands of those who feed the world."Dr. Ashutosh Sharma

Dr.Ashutosh Sharma

As a visionary leader in the field of Agrobiotechnology and the Director of the Regional Bioengineering Department at Tec de Monterrey, my career has been defined by a relentless pursuit of bridging the gap between sophisticated laboratory science and tangible social impact. With a scholarly foundation built on over 1,400 citations and a prolific record of scientific articles, patents, and books, I have dedicated myself to developing commercially viable technologies in the phytomedicine and agro-industrial sectors, earning a place among the top 2% of most-cited scientists globally in pharmacology and health sciences. Beyond my role as a Level 2 fellow of the Mexican National System of Researchers and founder of the National OMICS Technologies Laboratory, I have sought to democratize science through entrepreneurship, most notably by co-founding WeClone and creating the world’s first mobile micropropagation lab, or "Lab-on-Wheel." My journey has been recognized through prestigious accolades like the Global Teacher Award 2021 and the National Inspirational Professor Award, reflecting my commitment to mentoring over 15 graduate theses and delivering keynote speeches across more than 60 international platforms. Whether I am serving as an editor for top-tier Q1 journals, collaborating with local farmers to solve regional agro-industrial problems, or engaging with my 15,000+ followers as an academic influencer, my mission remains constant: to utilize bioengineering as a transformative tool for institutional excellence and sustainable rural development.
